Avena trained at Drama Centre London (BA Hons) and has worked in television (New Blood, BBC), theatre, and short films since graduation. Her audio work includes the Nadine Dorries series 'Tarabeg', the 'True Crime Cases Uncovered' series for DK Audio, commercial work for brands such as 'Fitbit', and Irish language work for The National Gallery of Ireland, The European Commission, and Heritage Ireland.
